Firewall considerations

We are aware that many companies prefer to manage their network traffic through a firewall to increase privacy and security. Nevertheless, as GoClass operates on peer-to-peer technology, some network traffic needs to be permitted through the firewall. If the configurations are not adjusted, you may encounter difficulties connecting to the room or with your guests in the room.

Firewall configuration

For using GoClass behind a firewall, the firewall settings must be modified by a network administrator. To do so, port 443 must be open to all TCP and UDP network traffic.

Proxies or VPNs

We advise against using GoClass through a proxy or VPN. Although some users might have a smooth experience initially, in many cases, connection problems can arise later on.
